Oakland Nature Preserve to host festivities

Oakland Nature Preserve will host two events this week.

First, the preserve will offer Eco Movie Night at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18. This month’s movie is “Your Inner Fish.” Attendees will discover ancestral ties to prehistoric fish. 

Then, the preserve will host offer a chance to create edible decorations and ornaments for preserve critters from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 20. Design ornaments with ONP staff and learn how to make these animal friendly edible crafts.

Both events will take place at the preserve, 747 Machete Trail, Oakland.
