OCOEE

NOV. 27

400 block of Torgiano Way. Burglary. An officer responded at 4:50 a.m. to Westyn Bay Boulevard regarding a shoeless, shirtless man sneaking into a neighborhood and failing to open a vehicle door. The officer found the suspect, who seemed intoxicated, with a camera on Torgiano Way. The suspect said he had been walking all night and did not live there. When asked why he had the camera, he asked, “What camera?” and responded, “That’s not mine,” when shown the camera he had just been carrying. Officers noticed items scattered on the ground near a truck and alerted the owner, who said his camera was missing. It was the camera the suspect had, worth about $450. There was also about $40 of damage to the victim’s daughter’s reading glasses. Officers arrested the suspect on charges of burglary, grand theft, loitering and criminal mischief.

NOV. 28

Maguire Road and Tomyn Boulevard. Fugitive from justice. At 8:29 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle matching a description of a reported disturbance. The driver was driving without any issued license and subject to arrests in Lake County on cheat and grand theft charges, as well as in two Georgia counties, with full extradition on larceny and theft charges. Officers transported him to Orange County Jail without incident.
