OCOEE — The CFCA Eagles boys basketball team started its contest Friday night against Legacy on a 6-0 run and never looked back.
The Eagles improved to 16-4 on the season with a 74-41 victory over Legacy (8-15).
“We were fortunate," CFCA head coach Jonathan McClintock said. "I thought we played good man-to-man defense today … (Legacy is) really well coached and so I’m proud of our guys."
Four Eagles scored in double-digits, with Dante Treacy scoring 17 points to lead the way. Ajay Green scored 16 points while John Daquila chipped in 13 points and Jerred Treacy added 12 on the night.
CFCA will travel to take on Calvary Christian on Jan. 24 at noon before returning home for games against Trinity Prep (Jan. 26) and International Community School (Jan. 27) to close out the regular season ahead of the Sunshine State Athletic Conference tournament and the FHSAA Class 2 District 4 tournament.
Legacy will host Mount Dora Bible on Monday.
