DR. PHILLIPS — The Dr. Phillips baseball team took the field Saturday afternoon for some preseason action.
It's opponent? Dr. Phillips.
The Panthers Junior Varsity and Varsity teams were intermixed for the program's annual Carolina vs. Navy Game. The inter-squad scrimmage drew a good-sized crowd to John Barbati Field and fans were treated to an exciting game that ended in a 3-3 draw after going into extra innings and being called after the eighth inning.
The Panthers will play their next preseason game on Feb. 4 at Bishop Moore High School against University. First pitch is at 4 p.m. that afternoon.
