+ Windermere Prep explores sustainability

Windermere Preparatory School students used the Walt Disney World Resort as a classroom Jan. 23, when they participated in the Disney Youth Education Series “Sustainable Practices in Wildlife Conservation” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

In the three-hour academic adventure, students discovered how all people and animals are connected and how each uniquely responds to environmental challenges. The group ended their program by using their new knowledge to create an effective conservation action plan.

The Disney Youth Education Series allows students to see how the principles they are learning in the classroom are making exciting things happen every day at the Disney Parks. From physics to history, each unique program emphasizes the importance of team work and critical thinking skills while giving students a one-of-a-kind learning experience that blends the magic of Disney with key educational content.
