Dr. Phillips to host Orange County Commissioners candidate forum

DR. PHILLIPS  West Orange voters will be heading to the polls in two weeks for the Aug. 30 state primaries, electing officials such as their new Orange County District 1 commissioner.

On Tuesday, Aug. 16, the Dr. Phillips Homeowners Coalition and Rosen JCC are hosting a candidate forum, where each OCC District 1 candidate will make a presentation and answer questions about the Dr. Phillips area. A moderator will ask the candidates to address major topics and issues that will affect residents in the area.

Located at the Rosen JCC on 11184 S. Apopka-Vineland Road, the forum will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. 

All four candidates are expected to be in attendance: Nuren Haider, Usha Jain, Bobby "O" Olszewski and Betsy VanderLey.
