The Winter Garden Christmas Parade rolled through the city Saturday, Dec. 3.
Participants in the Winter Garden Christmas Parade stepped off at 10 a.m., ready to share candy and Christmas spirit with the hundreds of onlookers lining the streets. Sam and Marian Wagster, longtime Winter Garden educators, were the grand marshals of this year’s parade.
The judges selected these entries as the best in their categories: Best Antique Vehicle, Polka Dogz Pet Rescue; Best Band Performance, West Orange High School Marching Band, first place, and Ocoee High School Marching Band, second; Best Church or Fraternal Group, Resurrection Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, first, and Winter Garden Lions Club, second; Best Commercial or Business, Florida Hospital Winter Garden, first, and Footworks Dance Studio, second; Best Youth Group, Legacy Voices of Hope, first, and Young Blacks in Action, second.
The Mayor’s Award went to Legacy Voices of Hope, the Grand Marshal’s Award went to West Orange Youth Football and Cheer, and the Spirit of Christmas Award was awarded to Resurrection Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.
