First Baptist Church Windermere, the Tim Tebow Foundation and the community teamed up to host a prom night especially for special-needs individuals Feb. 12. The foundation’s event, Night to Shine 2016, was also hosted at more than 200 churches in eight countries simultaneously. The event began at 5:30 p.m., with hair and makeup sessions for the girls and shoe shining for the boys.
Each guest received a corsage or boutonniere and a tiara or crown. They also got to walk the red carpet, with welcoming paparazzi, before getting their photos taken and heading to the main event, where dinner was served and the dance floor was open.
