WINTER GARDEN SunRidge Elementary held its Jump Rope for Heart event Friday, Feb. 19 outside during physical education time. Coach Rodney Powell has been working with the students for the past two to three months to teach them proper technique for jump roping, and in turn the kids learned how to develop heart-healthy habits.
Students jump roped to lively music and even competed to see who could jump rope the longest. Those who did were awarded with small prizes, including lanyards and wristbands.
