Remember heading to downtown Winter Garden for the annual sale, where residents could set up a table and sell their stuff?

World’s largest? Probably not, but it certainly drew the crowds downtown to see what treasures they could buy for pennies on the dollar. Where else could you get such various goodies as live plants, hand crafts, 8-track and cassette tapes, clothing, grocery items and other bargains — PLUS entertainment and concessions?

Amos and Charles, as well as Steve Norris and the Bluegrass Boys, provided the entertainment while shoppers browsed at more than 60 display booths.
