The Windermere Police Department has posted a notice on social media warning of five auto burglaries that occurred Thursday morning.

The burglaries happened between 10:30 and 11 am at the Windermere Recreation Center on Park Avenue, WPD wrote.

“The windows were broken to gain entry and only one vehicle reported any items stolen at this time,” WPD informed in their post.

The department also made mention of a call they received during the same time period from Manor’s subdivision describing two individuals who forcefully knocked on doors in the area and fled.

“The caller provided a vehicle description of a white, hatchback vehicle (no further description given) and two young black males, possibly in their 20’s," WPD added.

The Department requests that anyone who has surveillance cameras or helpful information about the suspicious activity in the area yesterday contact the Windermere Police Department at (407) 876-3757.
