HORIZON WEST  After a head-on collision in Horizon West Tuesday night took 27-year-old Angel Febus’s life, a YouCaring page has been set up for the family he left behind.

The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, near the intersection of Reams Road and Greenbank Boulevard. A car driven by 20-year-old Joseph Moss was heading southbound on Reams, while Febus was heading northbound. For an unknown reason, Moss’s car drifted into the northbound lanes, colliding head-on with Febus’s vehicle. Febus was taken to Celebration Hospital, where he died. Moss and his passenger suffered serious injuries.

Febus leaves behind his wife, Amy, son Noah and their unborn baby. Family friend Delaney Polidori met Febus seven years ago when the two worked at Disney World — also where he and his wife met. Polidori said she made the fundraiser to support Amy financially in covering funeral expenses, bills and more.

“Amy is five months pregnant, has another son named Noah she will now be raising on her own, has a lot of bills she will now have to pay on her own without the help of her husband's income, and now she has funeral expenses to worry about,” Polidori said.

Thus far the YouCaring page has raised $4,513 of the $10,000 goal for Amy and her children.

“I’m hoping this fundraiser will completely pay for funeral expenses as well as help her with personal finances, allowing her to take time off work to focus on taking care of herself, her son and her unborn baby,” Polidori said.
