OCOEE City staff and community members gathered at the Ocoee Lakeshore Center Friday, May 26, to honor and remember the services of our armed forces in a Memorial Day ceremony. Charisma Tran — Miss Young Preteen Earth United States — performed some musical selections, and Army First Sgt. Daniel Kalagian was the keynote speaker. Kalagian is also commander of the West Orange VFW Post 4305 in Winter Garden. Additionally, the Ocoee Police Department Honor Guard presented the colors and carried the American flag and ceremonial wreath out to the city’s memorial site.
