ORLANDO Nineteen women — some local and some with international roots — were recognized for their artistry during the Women in the Arts Awards ceremony and reception Saturday, March 24. Held at the Orlando Public Library, the event honored the women for their artistic accomplishments and techniques. West Orange-area artist Kim Minichiello received a Level II Professional Award for her watercolor painting “Odd Man Out.” Other Orange County artists honored include: Danielle Culibao, Hye Shin, Anna Thorne, Mindy Colton, Jennifer Payne, Karin Connolly, Eliza Pineau and Ashlyn Mae Bapst.
