The city of Ocoee remembered and honored those who fought and gave their lives for our nation’s freedom with a Memorial Day ceremony on Friday, May 25. Held at Bill Breeze Park, the ceremony included a speech from Ocoee High junior Cadet Captain Damarius Maxwell, a member of the Air Force Junior Officer Reserve Training Corps. The Ocoee Police Department Honor Guard was on hand to present and post the colors, and Mayor Rusty Johnson and city commissioners read out the names of fallen Ocoee residents who fought for freedom.
