OCOEE Each year the city of Ocoee honors its veterans with a ceremony to thank them for serving our nation. This year’s commemoration, held at the Woman’s Club of Ocoee on Monday, Nov. 12, included a performance of patriotic tunes from the Ocoee Middle School Wind Ensemble, a keynote address and procession to the city’s memorial site. Steve Shuga, past state commander of the Florida American Legion and executive director of the National American Legion Press Association, was the keynote speaker.
