Each year the Central Florida Navy League rings in the U.S. Navy’s birthday with an elegant gala at Rosen Shingle Creek. Hundreds of CFNL members, supporters and veterans gathered in their best attire for an evening of celebrating the Navy’s 243rd birthday. Festivities included dinner, a POW/MIA ceremony, ceremonial Navy birthday cake cutting and dancing. Also in attendance were the Clermont Sea Cadets, Centurion Battalion, World War II veterans and guest speaker Rear Adm. Paul A. “L.J.” Sohl.
