429 ramp to close overnight March 17 and 18

The ramp from northbound State Road 429 to County Road 535/ Winter Garden Vineland Road (Exit 19) is scheduled to close overnight Tuesday, March 17, and Wednesday, March 18, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for paving operations.

Drivers will be detoured to exit at State Road 50, take a left, then another left onto southbound S.R. 429 to return to C.R. 535/Winter Garden Vineland Road, according to the Central Florida Expressway Authority. Detour signs will be posted to direct motorists during that time.

Drivers should allow extra travel time. Weather and other unforeseen circumstances could delay work. Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction area for their safety and that of the work crews.

The Expressway Authority is building new ramps to and from Stoneybrook West Parkway, as well as auxiliary lanes and an All-Electronic Tolling (also known as Pay By Plate) ramp plaza. Work began in mid-February 2020 and is scheduled to be complete in late 2020.
