Apopka woman dies after being shot

Orange County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting Monday, May 25, in Apopka, at 1300 block of South-Central Avenue.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting at the 1300 block of South-Central Avenue, Apopka, Monday, May 25.

According to the sheriff's office, officers responded to the scene around 5:30 p.m., where they found a woman in her 50s who had been shot.

She was transported to the hospital, where she died.

Authorities are investigating the shooting, but have no additional information at the moment.
