Orlando Health — Health Central Hospital becomes Florida Resuscitation Center of Excellence

Orlando Health — Health Central Hospital was designated a Primary Florida Resuscitation Center of Excellence. 

The hospital is the first in West Orange County to receive the designation. 

"This designation underscores the hospital's ongoing commitment to delivering advanced, lifesaving care to cardiac arrest patients and improving survival outcomes throughout the community," according to a press release.

In order to receive the designation, the hospital must meet and self-attest to the criteria the Florida Resuscitation Committee has set. Criteria includes demonstrating a collaborative partnership with local EMS providers, multi-disciplinary team-led comprehensive patient care plans, and community involvement to educate the public on how to recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies.
