Webinar for helping children cope

The virtual program gives parents support during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System has partnered with Florida Virtual School to present a session to support parents during this stressful time. The program is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 27.

Parents can join the conversation with mental health experts about the best ways to talk to children about COVID-19 in an age-appropriate way. Learn tips for managing one’s emotions while helping children cope with the stress and anxiety of the current state of the world.

Participants will gain knowledge regarding best practices and tips for helping families cope.

Community Editor Amy Quesinberry was born at the old West Orange Memorial Hospital and raised in Winter Garden.
