The Oakland Nature Preserve is following Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings’ order to shelter in place to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.

The preserve will close for two weeks on the evening of Thursday, March 25, and there will be no access to the boardwalk or uplands trails during this time. The museum previously had been closed.

“We appreciate the public’s cooperation and understanding as we work with local and national agencies to prioritize the welfare of our community,” ONP officials said.
