The Town of Windermere is inviting the community to participate in a public feedback meeting for the Old Dirt Main Paving Project.

The project proposes using new road base materials in various locations around town.

The town hosted a testing for the materials on May 19, during which the public works team created pilot sites at three different locations to test two new materials being used successfully in other communities with dirt roads.

At Forest Street and Third Avenue, and Lake Street and Fifth Avenue, the team used a road base product called "Bank Run Shall" the Florida Department of Transportation recommends.

At Forest Street and Second Avenue, the team used a newly developed product called "paver base." In other places, the product has helped to hold up under the Florida weather and produced a reduction in dust.

Town staff and consultants will be present to answer questions and gain guidance from residents.

The meeting will be held virtually on Zoom beginning at 6 p.m.

The meeting information can be found below.

Meeting ID: 869 1544 4260
