Students, families and teachers at the Foundation Academy are showing their love and support for the school this week with the first Foundation Academy Fund 10 Day Blitz.

The event aims to raise all the funds that the school needs for its annual fund in just 10 days.

The  fund aims to enhance the school and make it the best it can possibly be. Although the school receives a budget that covers basic operational needs, the fund is used to enhance the programs available at the school.

Christina Haak, development specialist at the school and planner for the event, said the school wants everyone to know exactly where the funds will be distributed and the purpose behind them.

“We realized early on that we didn’t want parents and staff to feel like the funds were going into a black hole,” Haak said. “We wanted to show how important it is to us to distribute them to our top five targeted programs and to continue to enhance our school’s mission.”

The five targeted departments include enhancing spiritual development, safety, tuition assistance, development of staff and facility improvements.

“The main focus is to build that driving partnership between the church and family with Christ-centered education and to be the best school that we can possibly be,” Haak said.

So far, the school has reached their goal of 100% staff participation in donations to the fund.

“The generosity from all the members of the school is overwhelming and we are so grateful for all the partnerships,” Haak said. “The fund is about more than just a gift; it’s about building everlasting relationships within the school and beyond.”

Those who wish to donate can do so here.
