Man dies from gunshot wound in Winter Garden

The shooting occurred on Klondike Street Tuesday, March 14.

The Winter Garden police responded to shots being fired at 770 Klondike St., Winter Garden, around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday, March 14. Upon arrival, officers found a man lying in the street with an apparent gunshot wound.

The man was taken to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries. Police identified the victim as 21-year-old Jestin Lane McMurphy.

Police said they believe the shooting was the result of a disturbance earlier in the day. There are several leads in the case and investigators are working to identify the suspects, police said.
