Ocoee Twistee Treat celebrates 29th anniversary

The ice cream shop has been owned by Dennis and Royetta Ginther since 1994.

The Ocoee Twistee Treat celebrated a special anniversary last week.

The ice cream shop commemorated 29 years in business with 29-cent cones for its customers Friday, Sept. 15.

The location at 1500 Maguire Road, Ocoee, has been owned by Dennis and Royetta Ginther since 1994.

The couple also opened a location in Lake Buena Vista in 2006 and a shop on International Drive with the family name, called Ginther’s Swirls, in 2014.

The Ocoee shop houses both a drive through and an outdoor seating area. 

The store is open from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. 

Ocoee Twistee Treat's menu includes fan favorites such as soft serve, milkshakes and malts, twirls, sundaes, slushies, and floats.
