Windermere Police Department welcomes new officer

Jonathan Cassin will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the town of Windermere.

The Windermere Police Department has welcomed a new member to its ranks.

Jonathan Cassin is the newest officer to join the town of Windermere's PD.

Cassin commenced his training in March and now can be seen patrolling the streets. 

Cassin brings a wealth of experience and knowledge with him to the WPD.

He has served in the U.S. Army since 2008 and has accumulated 16 years of dedicated military service. 

Cassin continues to maintain a reserve status with his unit based out of Sanford. He has undertaken multiple combat tours in Afghanistan and served as a recruiter from 2013 to 2017.

Most recently, Cassin held roles as a teacher and assistant teacher at Collier County Public Schools in Naples. Additionally, he served as a sheriff’s deputy from 2019 to 2022.

He has been married for 15 years and is a proud father of one daughter. 

He holds a bachelor's degree in education and a master’s degree in athletic administration and sports management from Liberty University.
