During its annual Santa’s Lane Christmas event, the Town of Oakland introduced a new Holiday tradition that was a hit among residents — its first-ever Christmas golf cart parade Dec. 7.
Parade participants decorated their carts in all sorts of holiday decor, from snowflakes to the Grinch and, of course, Santa Claus’ sleigh.
Those in attendance for the Santa’s Lane event were able to stick around and watch these colorful holiday-themed carts stroll down Tubb Street into the Oakland Town Center for the first-of-its-kind event for the town.
