Warrior One yoga studio has announced its intentions to close and re-open as Horizon Yoga under new ownership.

After six years of creating community through yoga, Warrior One owner Julie Sanchez is passing on the studio to Madi Suarez, a 200-hour certified yoga instructor who has been practicing and teaching at Warrior One for years, who she has mentored through her entire yoga teacher journey.

"This yoga studio and community has supported and empowered me for years and has truly changed my perspective and life," Suarez said. "I am so honored and excited to continue providing an inclusive, encouraging, accepting space for everybody to come practice yoga and grow in their potential!"

Over the last six years, Sanchez has offered free yoga and completed outreach through her studio. The studio has raised thousands of dollars for local charities and offered yoga to those who need it the most.

Although the last six years were both challenging and amazing, Sanchez is taking the next step in her life as she continues forward on her mission to bring free, accessible yoga to the Central Florida community.

She is excited to enter into this new life chapter where she will be dedicated to deepening her connection with the local community.

"As I continue the work to launch my nonprofit, Rooted in Life, I aim to bring the transformative tools of mindfulness and yoga to everyone," Sanchez said. "We will sponsor further education in yoga, mindfulness and trauma training, fostering a more peaceful and calm way of life so each individual can realize their full potential. In addition, I am committed to tackling the issue of affordable housing through my work in real estate. Everyone deserves a place to call home, and I am determined to make this a reality. My mission is to provide sustainable tools for mindfulness and ensure that every person can live securely in a home of their own."

Horizon Yoga aims to create an inclusive, encouraging, judgment-free community for individuals of all backgrounds to explore, grow and transform through the practice of yoga.

"We are dedicated to fostering an environment that encourages personal growth and empowerment," Suarez said. Through our diverse classes, experienced instructors and community events, we strive to inspire and guide each member on their unique journey towards health, confidence, peace and continuous growth beyond their horizon."

The studio already has planned its first big event, which will take place on International Day of Yoga from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, June 21, outdoors right across from the studio.

The event, co-hosted by Lululemon, will include vendors and giveaways. The event will be a 45-minute all levels yoga flow with donations going to local West Orange County charity Shepherd's Hope.

Horizon Yoga is located at the previous Warrior One studio at 13796 Bridgewater Crossings Blvd., Building 1040, Suite 15, Windermere.
