WOHS band leaders honored with Otto J. Kraushaar Award

West Orange High School was the only Florida school to receive Straight Superior ratings in marching, jazz, concert and orchestra.

The West Orange High School band leaders have received a special award recognizing the band's achievements throughout the year. 

Kenneth Boyd, director of bands, and Robert Krahn and Garth Steger, associate directors, received recently the Otto J. Kraushaar Award from the Florida Bandmasters Association

The award is presented to high school band programs which receive Straight Superior ratings at all marching and concert assessments at both district and state levels for the year.

West Orange High School was the only Florida school to receive straight superior ratings in marching, jazz, concert and orchestra.
