The town of Windermere has released information regarding flooding and service updates, as well as service announcements, following Hurricane Milton.

Flooding has been reported on Conroy Windermere Road near the Lake Down boat ramp and Isleworth Country Club entrance.

Windermere Road currently is closed. Park Avenue now is open.

Solid waste collection will proceed as scheduled on Friday, Oct. 11. Limb debris removal also will begin on Friday. Regular yard waste collection is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12.

The town actively is working with Spectrum and Duke Energy to address any issues

"I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone for your cooperation and effort in cleaning and bagging up yard waste," Windermere Town Manager Robert Smith said. "Your patience during the process has gone unnoticed, and it's truly inspiring to see how many of you went above and beyond by helping your neighbors. It's communities like ours, where we work together and support each other, that make a real difference. Your contributions help keep our neighborhood clean and well-maintained, and we couldn't have done it without you."
