Ocoee Police Department now offers vacation watch

The Ocoee Police Department recently announced its new service called vacation watch. 

According to OPD's website, residents of Ocoee can fill out a form four to five days prior to leaving for vacation, letting officers know to periodically check on their homes while no one is there. 

Per the website, "It's a simple way to add an extra layer of peace of mind while you're on vacation."

Though this program enhances vigilance through the department's efforts, OPD noted that it does not guarantee protection against criminal activity.
