The Ocoee Police Department presented a check to Special Olympics Florida.

The $1,262 donation check was from the proceeds raised during the department's Tip-A-Cop event.

The annual Tip-A-Cop event is when officers trade in their uniforms for serving trays at Texas Roadhouse to raise funds for Special Olympics Florida.

This year's event was held in March.

"We are honored to partner with and support an organization that empowers athletes and changes lives every day," the department posted on social media.
