Frozen blueberries sold at Publix recalled

Publix put out an announcement to inform customers of the recalling of GreenWise frozen blueberries because it may be contaminated with E. coli.

Publix sent out an announcement Friday, July 3, recalling the GreenWise Organic IQF Blueberries in the 10-oz. packages. 

There was one lot affected, with the code 60401 and best-by dates of Feb. 9, 2028. 

Publix is advising customers to return or discard any frozen GreenWise blueberries sold in stores on or before Friday, July 3. 

According to its announcement, no other lots are affected by this recall. 

So far, there have been 12 reports of digestive illnesses relating to E. coli in patients that consumed the GreenWise blueberries. 

An investigation currently is ongoing.
