Orlando International Airport will undergo some upgrades as a result of receiving $36 million.

The $36 million is one of multiple Federal Aviation Administration grants totaling $1.776 billion being given to airports across the country for upgrades.

Orlando International's grant is among $175,071,972 in grants for airports in Florida.

The Orlando airport will use the funds to rehabilitate its taxiway and lighting as well as reconstruct a terminal.

“The FAA is prioritizing improving our nation’s airports and ensuring we issue grants quickly and efficiently,” said FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford. “This funding does more than just rebuild runways and taxiways, it modernizes the travel experience for American families, ensuring our airports are safe and ready for the future.”
