Lone Sailor Division presents Volunteer Service Awards

Nine cadets and 12 adult volunteers were recognized at the Bronze and Silver levels.

Twenty-one members of the Lone Sailor Division, in Windermere, have been honored with the President’s Volunteer Service Award at the Bronze and Silver levels. This prestigious award recognizes exceptional dedication and significant contributions to the community through volunteer service.

The award, an initiative of AmeriCorps and administered by Points of Light, celebrates the outstanding service achievements of volunteers.

The Bronze Level award is bestowed upon teens who have completed at least 50 hours and is given to young adults and adults who have completed at least 100 hours of volunteer service over a 12-month period.

The Lone Sailor Bronze Level recipients for 2024 are cadets Caleb Andrade, Michael Coker, Kate Hone, Pryce Jorgensen, Connor Merrill, Marcos Morales and Julion Rosa; and adult volunteers Alejandra Diaz, Jeff Chang, Jared Fairchild, Scott Fairchild, Tara Fairchild, Ashley Hawk, Jeff Hawk, Meghan Hone, Todd Merrill, Evan Richmond and Andy Stetzinger.

The Silver Level award is bestowed upon teens who have completed at least 75 hours, young adults who have completed at least 175 hours and adults who have completed at least 250 hours of volunteer service over a 12-month period.


The Lone Sailor Silver Level recipients for 2024 are cadets Colin Martello and Lukas Vasara and adult volunteer Sedjenane Chang.
