Leah Mercier, who plans to study nursing at Valencia College, stood with Mortume Tommy, who plans to get a trucking license and move to Atlanta for mechanic school.
Jezebel Invictus, who plans to study political science at Florida Atlantic University, and D’lanies Nunez, who is attending University of Miami for sports marketing, got ready in the bathroom mirror.
Michelle Flores, who will transfer from Valencia College to University of Florida for law, and Mia Gonzalez, who is joining the Marines, smiled before the ceremony.
Axel Ramirez who will be attending the University of South Florida Biology, Kyle Ramdhanie who's headed to Valencia College then FSU for Economics and Saif Rahman, who wants to pursue boxing, wait for the ceremony to start. “I got accepted into FSU but could not afford $14,000 to go,” Ramdhanie said.
Azhyon Lewis and Jasmine Lewis shared a laugh together before walking the stage. “I’m really scared because I feel great. Good nervous,” Azhyon Lewis said.
Sayannee Menard, Alexander Mendez and Maria Pielique Mendaea waited eagerly while other graduates found their seats.

Graduates filed in as the Class of 2025 collectively celebrated earning $9 million in scholarships.

A total of 729 seniors graduated as part of the Class of 2025.
Charles Plumb will be headed to Florida State University for business management. Aleksandra Khudidkova will study finance at Florida International University while Locca Benuccelli Loureiro will study political science at Brown University. Plumb's twin brother, Oliver Plumb will attend FSU as well, studying finance.
Orange County Public Schools Member District 5 and Dr. Phillips High alumnus Vicki-Elaine Felder spoke to the class of 2025. “This class is different,” she said.

The Vocal Ensemble performed “Lean on Me,” arranged by Mac Huff, to inspire and uplift the graduates.
Salutatorian Lovensky Dezon’s pre-recorded speech was shown on the jumbotron. He encouraged classmates to “seize the opportunity” and praising his mother’s support.
Valedictorian Abedrahman Hafez thanked his family and teachers in his pre-recorded speech shown on the jumbotron. “The future is too exciting to hold on to the past,” he said.

It was a morning of celebration for the 729 Dr. Phillips High School Class of 2025 graduates who walked across the stage at the Kia Center Thursday, May 22, to receive their diplomas.
Principal Jackie Ramsey opened the ceremony by recognizing the academic, athletic and artistic achievements of the graduating class.
This year’s graduating class collectively earned more than $9 million in scholarships.
Vicki-Elaine Felder, an Orange County School Board Member and Dr. Phillips alumna, then addressed the class.
“This class is different,” a nod to the energy of this year’s graduates.
Valedictorian Abedrahman Hafez and Salutatorian Lovensky Dezon delivered pre-recorded speeches presented on the Kia Center jumbotron. Hafez thanked his family, teachers and friends for their support while Dezon offered a message on perseverance and growth.
The vocal ensemble performed a soulful rendition of “Lean on Me,” arranged by Mac Huff, urging the crowd and graduates to clap alongside them.
Graduates were all smiles after receiving their diplomas and going on to celebrate with family and friends.
