Foundation Academy recognized all its seniors at the meet. Landen Woods, who competed in shot put, was happy to celebrate with his family.
The girls kicked off the 4x800m relay race at the meet and carefully passed the baton to each other. The First Academy won with a time of 11:19.14.
The First Academy and Foundation Academy runners sprinted against each other in the 4x800m. Foundation ended in second with a time of 9:18.61 and TFA in third with a time of 9:27.83.
Foundation Academy hosted its Lions Last Chance Meet Friday, April 10. In total, eight teams competed, and the local schools competing included Foundation, The First Academy and Legacy High School.
The meet was the last opportunity for local track-and-field athletes to showcase their talents before district meets that began Tuesday, April 14, and run until Saturday, April 25.
The Lions blew the competition out of the water, with the girls and boys teams both winning overall. Foundation also recognized its class of seniors, and they all walked the field hand-in-hand with family.
