Windermere Police to host DEA Drug Take Back event

It will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at 614 Main St., Windermere, Building 100.

The Windermere Police Department is hosting a DEA Drug Take Back event Saturday, April 25, at the station. 

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., where people can safely dispose of medication. 

Whether it be unused, unwanted or expired medications, the department will safely dispose of it. 

"Proper disposal helps prevent misuse, protects our families and keeps our community safe," Police Chief David Ogden said.

Needles or sharp objects will not be accepted. 

"Let’s work together to keep our homes and community safe," Ogden said. "Take a few minutes this Saturday to make a difference."

To drop off medications, visit 614 Main St., Windermere, Building 100.
