The city of Winter Garden is asking for local artists to submit canine-inspired artwork for its 2026 juried exhibition.

The exhibition, which will be featured inside Winter Garden City Hall, is "Dog Days of Summer: The Ulti-Mutt Art Exhibit."

Artists can submit up to three original works inspired by their favorite dog or their interpretation of the theme.

Submissions will be accepted electronically from Friday, May 1, through Wednesday, June 10.

Application details are available on the Art in Public Places Gallery at City Hall website

Up to 25 pieces will be selected to be displayed from Wednesday, July 1, to Monday, Aug. 31, at the Art in Public Places Gallery at Winter Garden City Hall.

Residents also can add a photo, with the maximum size being 4 by 6 inches, of their furry friend to "The Dogs of Winter Garden," which will be a special community art display of the city's canine citizens.
"Winter Garden loves their dogs and so do we," said Donna Corbus, City of Winter Garden Community Liaison and AIPP curator. "The exhibition is a great way to highlight our residents’ beloved canine companions while providing a fun (and cool) outing for the entire family (including the furry ones) during the warm dog days of summer."

A free celebration of the exhibit's opening will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 10, at city hall.
