Orange County Fire Rescue issued a burn ban for Orange County Tuesday, April 26, which will be in effect for seven days.

The ban prohibits any outdoor burning that has not been permitted. Orange County issues the ban anytime the drought index meets or exceeds 500.

It will remain in effect until the drought index falls below 500 for seven consecutive days.

To keep your family and home safe, the fire rescue recommends clearing all trash and dead vegetation, remove leaves, create 30-feet or clean space around your home, and use caution when grilling or camping.
