Special Hearts Farm now has a hydroponic system up and running.

Hydroponic systems are soilless, water-based gardening methods that grow plants up to three times faster and with higher yields than soil, often using up to 90% less water.

"This is a completely new method of gardening for our Farmers to learn, and it is accessible to participants who experience mobility challenges," Special Hearts Farm posted online. "Thank you to the City of Winter Garden and Florida Farm Bureau for making this project possible through your support."

The nonprofit, serving individuals with disabilities and unique abilities through farming and gardening experiences, said they are very grateful for the hydroponic system and cannot wait to see the plants grow.
