Windermere Town Planner Brad Cornelius was awarded the Mark Coleman Eagle Award from Wade Trim.
According to the town's announcement, Cornelius was given this award because of his integrity, fairness and people-first leadership.
"He is trusted by clients and colleagues alike, guides teams through complex challenges, and leads with transparency and professionalism," the post said. "His dedication to safety is evident in his proactive response to emergencies, especially during hurricanes, where he provides updates and ensures coworkers' well-being."
He is the first person to win this award twice, reflecting his dedication to Wade Trim and his clients, the post said.
Cornelius is considered a leader whose influence extends beyond his job description.
"He leads by example, not because it is required, but because it is ingrained in who he is," the town posted. "Thank you, Brad, for your leadership, dedication and continued positive impact. We are proud to celebrate you."
