Orange County mayor appoints members to TDT Citizen Advisory Task Force

Mayor Jerry L. Demings appointed 30 members to the task force, in addition to two co-chairs.

Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings announced the members of the Tourist Development Tax Citizen Advisory Task Force Wednesday, July 15.

The task force will be making funding recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners and the Tourist Development Council.

Former Orange County Mayor Linda Chapin and Lift Orlando President Eddy Moratin will co-chair the task force.

The task force is made up of 30 members from across Orange County, including locals Doug Gomber of Ocoee, Ed McKinney of Winter Garden, Robert Smith of Windermere, Steve Stanford of Oakland and others.

The first task force meeting will take place at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the Orange County Administration Building.
