A woman was arrested Tuesday, May 19, at Disney's Contemporary Resort after becoming upset her family members couldn't all sit together at Steakhouse 71 due to their party's size.
Leslie Helen Varley, 57, was told she could not move tables together to accommodate her large party, and that's when Varley grabbed the manager's shoulders and moved her approximately six steps.
Another manager, who witnessed the occurrence, approached Varley, who in return, threw three cups of water and ice at him.
The affidavit states on top of that, Varley also snatched his name tag from his body and walked out of the restaurant with it.
"During the altercation, Leslie proceeded to break four glasses, dropping them to the floor," the affidavit read. "In total, (they) were valued at 20 U.S. dollars."
However, Varley's story was different.
She told the officer on scene one of the managers made a comment about her disabled daughter touching a cast member, which is what prompted her to throw two cups of water at him, smashing one on the ground.
Varley also told the officer she did not walk out the restaurant with the manager's name tag, stating she gave it back.
She was charged with battery, criminal mischief and robbery by snatching, and received a trespass warning as well.
She now is out on bond after a $5,500 penal sum was payed while she awaits trial.
