A sergeant within the Winter Garden Police Department surrendered himself to the Orange County jail Tuesday, June 9, after a warrant for his arrest was placed through the Apopka Police Department because of a stalking accusation.

According to WGPD, Sgt. Bryan Stubbs was immediately placed on paid administrative leave once the agency was notified of an ongoing investigation being conducted by the APD.

Stubbs has been with department since February 2016, and recently was promoted to sergeant in 2025.

"As Chief Graham stated, we take these issues seriously and they do not reflect the standards we expect of our personnel," WGPD Captain James Capeletti said. "We are committed to accountability, transparency and maintaining the public’s trust while ensuring a fair and impartial review of the matter."
