Chain of Lakes Animal Clinic partners with domestic violence shelter

The Chain of Lakes Animal Clinic located in Windermere, has announced a new partnership. 

According to its post, the animal clinic now is partnering with the Harbor House of Central Florida, the only certified domestic violence shelter in Orange County, which also provides counseling, emotional support, legal advocacy and confidential hotline crisis. 

"Many victims are scared to leave without their pets, which is where we come in," the animal clinic posted. "We will be helping offer medical care to the furry family members." 

This partnership helps those in domestic violence situations by lowering the delay in leaving an abusive situation due to not being able to take their pets with them, and it allows survivors to have another source of emotional support.
