Windermere continues road work

Work will continue at two parks and multiple roads this week in downtown Windermere.

The town of Windermere is asking residents and drivers to allow for extra travel time and to drive safely as work continues on multiple roads and parks Monday, May 11, through Friday, May 15. 

A crew might be doing limited work in Fernwood Park as well as working in various areas along Butler and Forest streets and Seventh Avenue. 

In Fernwood Park, the crew could be grading a swale and plant the rain garden/pond. 

At Eighth Avenue and East Boulevard, crews will be forming and pouring concrete, and there will be possible shoulder and swale grading at various locations. 

Crews also might be grading and preparing swales along Third Avenue.

On West Second Avenue, crews will continue repairing concrete and paver driveways as well as grading dirt behind the curb where needed. Crews also will be sodding, mulching or installing gravel. 

Cleanup at Palmer Park will continue.
