A duo of Windermere High School head coaches were named the Metro Male and Female Coach of the Year.

The Wolverines' boys soccer head coach Lou Romao and girls swim and dive head coach Kyle Casias were the coaches of the year.

Romao helped his team accomplish a Final Four appearance to close the past season with a 19-2-5 overall record. Casias' swim team also had success at states and finished the year as the Class 4A State Runners-up.

"Congratulations and well deserved," Windermere athletics wrote. "Two of the very best coaches in the country. Your leadership, dedication and commitment to your athletes continue to set the standard for excellence. Proud to see your hard work recognized!"
