From carnitas and carne asada to tostadas and taquitos, Chronic Tacos is sure to please any craving for Mexican food — and it’s coming to Restaurant Row.

Opening around the end of fall, Chronic Tacos will be located at 7541 D Sand Lake Road, Orlando.

Chronic Tacos combines Cali-Mex cuisine with a fast-casual setting. The menu offers tortas, taquitos, flautas, tacos, burritos and breakfast served all day. Each item can be customized to a customer’s individual taste.

“We offer a wide variety of menu options not found at other restaurants, and our Día de los Muertos décor and music also help to set a unique vibe in each store,” Chronic Tacos Director of Marketing Dave Mohammed said.

He added Chronic Tacos will be a boon to the community.

“We’ll be supplying jobs and connecting with and supporting the local community through fundraisers and team sponsorships,” he said.

Co-founders Randy Wyner and Dan Biello started Chronic Tacos in 2002 in Newport Beach, California, because they “couldn’t find good Mexican food nearby,” Mohammed said.

“They saw an opportunity to create a great restaurant with authentic third-generation recipes and a Southern California vibe,” Mohammed said. “The laid-back atmosphere and authentic Mexican food drew in a following, and The Taco Life was born. (The Taco Life is) inspired by sunny SoCal vibes, and individuality — the Taco Life movement continues to spread across the nation.

“Our third-generation recipes are a big differentiator for us, and it’s this authenticity that inspires The Taco Life — it represents our unique atmosphere and fully customizable menu, encouraging the individuality of our guests,” he said.

Chronic Tacos also has Florida locations in Fort Myers, Tampa Bay and Vero Beach.
